Hectic People Limited was founded in Summer 2021, having just seen the importance of human resources and people during the Coronavirus pandemic. So out of the chaos our business was born, with one true objective—to develop SME businesses’ people and future talent with a human-centred approach.

”The UK employment market has travelled to a hyper-personalised universe, and we are here to stay. Individuals now expect more. The evolution of experience (UX, CX, DX etc.) has changed the way in which we consume across markets. And has been the expectation for greater organisational and employee experience (OX and EX). Returning to work post-lockdown has only accelerated the call to action for employment-experiences.
Attraction and retention of good talent has become much harder as employers are held to higher experience standards and consideration of individual needs, whilst in a tight labour market. Couple that with organisational accountability for social and environmental impact, it’s all a bit overwhelming. But human sustainability is the market demand and a real opportunity for smaller businesses to compete for talent and enable sales/partnerships with larger enterprises.

At Hectic People, we love people-led initiatives that better human rights and the planet! That’s why we’ve chosen to offset our carbon footprint and grow a company forest with Ecologi.
What seemed right about Ecologi was not only the environmental impact of carbon credits from the most reputable carbon standards such as Gold Standard and Verified Carbon Standard (and additional tree planting). It was also the carefully selected partners that are working with the local communities to tackle extreme poverty through employment, supplying the community with alternative fuel sources and a committed to agroforestry species if tree (fruit, fodder and construction species designed to provide food security and benefit legitimate human needs) for the benefit of sustainable incomes.
So far the contributions Hectic People have made:
- Plant trees in our local community
- Capture waste biogas for energy in Turkey (This project will avoid 30,153 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year)
- Wind power pin Mexico (this project has educated over 1,000 children about the importance and value of nature)
- Distributing cleaner cookstoves in Kenya (this project will mean more than 2,400,000 tonnes of woody biomass are saved each year)
- Wind power in Thailand
- Plant 10 trees in Uganda
Materiality Assessment Report
We have created our first biennial Materiality Assessment Report to ensure that we prioritise issues with the greatest impact on our business, communities, and the environment, and those that matter most to our stakeholders. We received and analysed input from our stakeholders to help shape our strategy for the next two years. The top priorities for our stakeholders are:
- Supporting clients on ethics and compliance with HR law and certifications like B Corp
- Mental wellbeing (of Hectic People workers)
